Favourite food: Grapes

Characteristics/Looks: Bobby gets along well with all the other bears in the park, but his best friend is the bear named Stefan. These two play wildly together and act like true friends. Bobby is a friendly and quiet bear and he enjoys bathing in the ponds in the area. He has dark brown fur, and since he was transferred to the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa he has gained weight and has enjoyed good health.






Charlie

Sex: male

Born: 1991

In the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa since: May 2004

Favourite food: Fruit

Characteristics/Looks: Charlie is a loner, and is calm and lazy. He enjoys sleeping in the forested sections of the area. His fur is dark brown, and since he has been taken in by FOUR PAWS he has gained a lot of weight and is in good health.








Dana

Sex: female

Born: 1993

In the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa since: November 2003

Favourite food: Grapes and pears

Characteristics/Looks: Dana likes climbing trees, and she lies down on her back when she gets hungry. From the day FOUR PAWS adopted Dana she has gained a lot of weight. She feels comfortable in her surroundings, and is a quiet and peaceful bear. Dana's fur is very dark, nearly black, and besides the bear Vela she is the biggest female bear in the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa.








Dobri

Sex: male

Born: 1987

In the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa since: November 2003

Favourite food: Melons

Characteristics/Looks: Even though Dobri is blind, he enjoys wandering around in the area, looking for food, and lying under the trees. He spends his nights in the caves. He has dark brown fur, and he enjoys sleeping very much. Dobri shares a sector with bear Galya.

Elena

Sex: female

Born: 1990

In the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa since: April 2006

Favourite food: Carrots and strawberries

Characteristics/Looks: Elena is a rather playful animal. Already from the beginning she is very curious, walking around and not wanting to miss anything. Her fur is light brown, and she is smaller than the other bears.

Galya

Gosho

Sex: male

Born: 1989

In the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa since: June 2001

Favourite food: Gosho loves all food, but especially nuts

Characteristics/Looks: Gosho lives with the bear named Mariana, and they understand and get along with each other very well. Gosho has gained approximately 50 kg since he was adopted by FOUR PAWS, and he is currently in the best of health. He is the largest member of the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa, and he enjoys swimming in the ponds in the area. In the warmer seasons this large bear likes sleeping in the shadows of the forest and lying down on his back.





Izaura

Sex: female

Born: 1982

In the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa since: February 2004

Favourite food: Izaura loves all food

Characteristics/Looks: Izaura is one of the oldest bears in the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa. She enjoys walking around in the area and greatly enjoys looking for food. Izaura enjoys spending her time alone.





Kalinka

Sex: female

Born: 1989

In the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa since: September 2000

Favourite food: Grapes and bread

Characteristics/Looks: Kalinka is a quiet and peaceful bear. She likes climbing trees and enjoys wandering around the area. When the weather is nice Kalinka loves to sunbathe, but she does not particularly enjoy swimming. Since her adoption by FOUR PAWS she has gained a lot of weight and is in good health.








Leta

Sex: female

Born: 1983

In the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa since: November 2003

Favourite food: Bread

Characteristics/Looks: Leta's fur is light brown and she is the smallest bear living in DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa. She gets along well with the bears Bobby, Stefan, and Kalinka. Leta enjoys wandering around in the area staying in the sun near the ponds. From the day FOUR PAWS adopted Leta, she has gained a lot of weight.






Maria

Sex: female

Born: 1981

In the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa since: June 2005

Favourite food: Watermelons

Characteristics/Looks: Maria adapted very quickly to her new life in sector 5 of the park. The integration process is going very well. She is comfortable with Galya, the bear who is living in the sector beside her. The place she likes the most is the woods where she can take a nap.





Mariana

Sex: female

Born: 1987

In the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa since: October 2000

Favourite food: Bread, nuts, and grapes

Characteristics/Looks: Mariana lives with the bear named Gosho, with whom she gets along very well. Mariana seems to feel safe and protected with Gosho. Mariana is curious, likes swimming in the ponds, and is in good health. At the moment Mariana is hibernating.








Marinka

Sex: female

Born: 1996

In the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa since: April 2005

Favourite food: Carrots

Characteristics/Looks: After her arrival in the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa Marinka adapted very quickly to the new surroundings in her sector. Unlike to the other bears, Marinka prefers open fields and grassland; she doesn't hide behind trees and strokes. She is getting along very well with the other bears.









Mitko

Sex: male

Born: 1993

In the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa since: October 2004

Favourite Food: Mitko likes the rich food supplied in the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa, and eats everything he's offered.

Characteristics/Looks: Mitko lives in his own part of the area. After being adopted and transferred to the park, he got used to his new life. Mitko, who was abused by his former owner, had rings in his nose, his flews and also in his lower jaw. Mitko had a big hole in his jaw, which had to be operated on by FOUR PAWS veterinarian Dr. Amir Khalil. When the weather is bad, Mitko likes to go in his den. He is a very curious and active bear.








Nadka

Sex: female

Born: 1988

In the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa since: November 2003

Favourite Food: Grapes and Nuts

Characteristics/Looks: Nadka loves to wander around the area and search for food. This bear has beautiful fur and a unique build. Nadka is a loner, and doesn't get along very well with the other inhabitants of the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa. She enjoys her good health and spending her time alone.







Rada

Sex: female

Born: 1992

In the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa since: June 2006

Favourite Food: carrots

Characteristics/Looks: In the first time in the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa, Rada was showing signs of inconvenience: she continued with the deep-seated in her mind “dancing”. As time passed she got calmer and forgot this habit. What she enjoys most in her new life is swimming in the pool. She spends hot summer days in the dense forest.








Stanka

Sex: female

Stefan

Sex: male

Born: 1987

In the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa since: September 2000

Favourite Food: Because of Stefan's large appetite, he likes every kind of food that's hidden by the FOUR PAWS bear keepers all over the area.

Characteristics/Looks: Stefan gets along well with the bear named Bobby; they are very good friends. They play together and like swimming in the ponds of the area. Stefan is one of the biggest bears in DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa, and his fur is dark brown.








Stefka

Sex: female

Born: 1984

Favourite food: Apples and grapes

Characteristics/Looks: Stefka is a quiet, lazy, peaceful bear, who gets along with all the other bears. Stefka is in good health.








Tsveta

Sex: female

Born: 1990

In the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa since: February 2004

Favourite food: Melon

Characteristics/Looks: Tsveta loves to wander around the area, especially when the sun is shining. She has light brown fur, with a few dark flecks on her back. Tsveta gets along very well with the other bears in the park, but she prefers to eat alone.





Violeta

Sex: female

Born: 1981

Favourite food: Grapes, bread, and nuts

Characteristics/Looks: Violeta lives in the movement and she enjoys her life in the DANCING BEARS PARK Belitsa. Because of a skin disease, Violeta has some hairless spots. This disease is the result of long-term abuse and underfeeding. We're very happy that Violeta's health and fur have been getting better and better since she was adopted by FOUR PAWS.

Vela

Sex: female

Born: 1989

In the DANCING BEARS PARK Belista since: September 2005

Favorite food: Bread

Characteristics/Looks: Vela has, in contrast to the other bears, an almost black fur. The reason is that Vela's origin is not Bulgaria. As a cub she was displaced from Russia to Bulgaria. Because of this, she is also bigger and heavier than the other female bears in the park. Luckily she accommodated very quickly to new surroundings of the DANCING BEARS PARK Belista and she is even starting with her preparations for hibernation.
